Dear Paul Supporters: I Am Israel

As a Catholic, I consider it to be a religious duty to defend my Jewish brothers and sisters against anti-Semitism. There are those who continue to claim that Ron Paul is not an anti-Semite, as if we somehow have to prove that there is actually hatred in his heart for Jews or else you will not believe he is anti-Semitic. No one can prove what is in any person’s heart, therefore you have left us with an impossible task if this is what you require of us in order to prove our case. What you do not seem to understand is that we know that we cannot prove what is in any person’s heart. It is never our claim that we can do that. What we can prove is that Ron Paul’s policies are anti-Semitic in nature even if he does not intend for them to be so. Israel is a Jewish state that is constantly under attack and even under threat of nuclear attack if Iran obtains a nuclear weapon. Policies that threaten Israel’s survival are, therefore, anti-Semitic in and of themselves just as policies that would threaten the survival of America are anti-American and, one could rightfully argue, anti-freedom. Because Israel is the only truly free country in the Middle East, it could be said that anti-Israel policy is anti-freedom, as well.

From Former Ron Paul staffer Eric Dondero:

He is however, most certainly Anti-Israel, and Anti-Israeli in general. He wishes the Israeli state did not exist at all. He expressed this to me numerous times in our private conversations. His view is that Israel is more trouble than it is worth, specifically to the America taxpayer. He sides with the Palestinians, and supports their calls for the abolishment of the Jewish state, and the return of Israel, all of it, to the Arabs.

Again, American Jews, Ron Paul has no problem with. In fact, there were a few Jews in our congressional district, and Ron befriended them with the specific intent of winning their support for our campaign. (One synagogue in Victoria, and tiny one in Wharton headed by a well-known Jewish lawyer).

See commentary at The Weekly Standard.

Whether Ron Paul hates Jews or not, and whether he has Jewish friends or not is beside the point. His anti-Israel policy is anti-Semitic. This is why anti-Semites support him.

From the New York Times:

The American Free Press, which markets books like “The Invention of the Jewish People” and “March of the Titans: A History of the White Race,” is urging its subscribers to help it send hundreds of copies of Ron Paul’s collected speeches to voters in New Hampshire. The book, it promises, will “Help Dr. Ron Paul Win the G.O.P. Nomination in 2012!”

Don Black, director of the white nationalist Web site Stormfront, said in an interview that several dozen of his members were volunteering for Mr. Paul’s presidential campaign, and a site forum titled “Why is Ron Paul such a favorite here?” has no fewer than 24 pages of comments. “I understand he wins many fans because his monetary policy would hurt Jews,” read one.

You may believe that Israel is a brutal aggressor. I used to believe that, too. I even used to post the “Palestinian” flag on my blog. That was when I was ignorant and I bought into the lies of Pallywood and the misguided, anti-Israel leftist media. Not only this, even as I was supporting “Palestinians”, I was already very well-read on the Holocaust and knew what had happened to the Jews. I was upset with them for being so mean to the “Palestinians” after all they had been through in Eastern Europe.  I despise attacks on human dignity, no matter who the aggressor is, and I am very open-minded. This open-mindedness is what allowed me to believe Israel was the aggressor even though I had such an aching heart for the Jews who suffered in the Holocaust. It was only when I decided to start from scratch and do research on the Israel vs “Palestine” issue that I saw the truth. The persecution of Jews did not end with our victory in World War II. The Jews will always be hated, and it is up to each of us as individuals to say NO to this hatred, because if we do not say no to it, there will be another Holocaust.

Unless you are willing to do what I did and start from scratch and look at this thoroughly with an open mind, you will never see the truth. I did that, and now, I am here to say to you, Paul supporters, that I am Israel, and there is no way I would ever cast a vote for your anti-Semitic (in policy) candidate in ANY election. You can take that to the bank.
