Screen shot from the movie “Battle of Vienna” which tells of the victory of Christendom in Europe over the Ottoman Turks who were Islamists. Movie trailer appears below.
During the House Oversight Committee’s hearing on the attack in Benghazi, Libya, Congressman Mike Kelly (R-PA) made a point about the date of the attack.
During a politically charged hearing in which the former head of a U.S. security team in Libya acknowledged that “security remained weak” before the “surprise attack” on Sept. 11, lawmakers pushed for answers to why the administration initially thought that the attack resulted from a protest against a video clip of U.S.-made film that denigrates Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.
“Why in the heck did it take so long for all these highly briefed and intelligent people to try and figure out that it actually wasn’t a 15-minute YouTube video, it actually was a 9/11 event, a terrorist attack?” said Rep. Mike Kelly, Pennsylvania Republican.
True, any reasonable person would have concluded that a September 11 attack on our presence in Libya was related to terrorism, and it is indeed troubling that those in charge of security for the Obama Administration were neither prepared for the attack nor made the connection to terrorism after the attack took place. Rather, the Obama Administration, through Susan Rice, Ambassador to the U.N., opted to blame a video. What is even more troubling to me, though, is that so few in Washington will point out the obvious, that the date of September 11 had significance long before 2001, when Islamists flew planes into the World Trade Center, the U.S. Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. To Islamists (and to Catholics), September 11, 1683, has great significance indeed, as the Ottoman Empire engaged in the Siege of Vienna which began on September 11, 1683. On September 12, 1683, the Polish king Leopold I went to battle and vanquished the Islamists of the Ottoman Empire.
The Battle of Vienna firmly established Christianity as Europe’s dominant religion and ended the Ottomans’ 300-year power struggle for Europe, allowed the Habsburg dynasty to flourish in central Europe until the early 20th century.
The decisive outcome of the Battle of Vienna in 1683 secured the dominance of Christianity in Europe and marked the beginning of an ignominious end to the power-hungry Ottoman Empire.
Politicians, especially here in America (in both parties), do not like to talk about this.
Some would have you believe that secularism is the key, believing that if we do not claim to be a Christian nation (as our presidents generally have before Obama came along), it means the Islamists will hate us less. In fact, Islamic teaching is a bit more respectful of what Muslims refer to as “the people of the book” (Christians and Jews) than of those who claim belief in no God. Islam requires complete submission from “the people of the book” whereas all others are simply murdered outright.
The more we are people who are strong in our Judeo-Christian ethic, and the more we understand that they are attacking us because they see it as a religious duty, the more able we will be to defend ourselves against the rise of Islam in the Middle East.
Dr Bill Warner writes:
Hello establishment experts, the black flag is not an Al Qaeda flag. The black flag with the Shahada, “There is no god, but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet” and the swords goes back to the Golden Age of Islam in Baghdad in the 9th century. (The establishment professors never tell you about this jihad aspect of the Islamic Golden Age.) This jihad flag is ancient.
And…
The idea that we should not blaspheme Islam, Mohammed or Allah is pure Sharia and the position of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation). It seems that none of the establishment experts have the foggiest idea of what Sharia blasphemy entails. Not believing that Mohammed is the prophet of Allah, that a woman is a second class citizen, that jihad is part of Islam is all blasphemy. Critical thought is blasphemy. The Golden Rule is blasphemy. Any well-founded religion can survive blasphemy, except Islam, and that is the reason it is forbidden. But the worst part of this travesty is the refrain from Obama and Hillary that we should subvert our freedom of speech to the demands of the Sharia. The Sharia is Allah’s law and our Constitution is a document of ignorance to be removed from the world. So say the imams and Obama and Hillary.
They attack us on 9-11 because they see the Siege of Vienna as the last point in which they held power over the Christian world. If the Christian world is forced into submission, it will be with the help of the secular, anti-Christian Left in America and in Europe who refuse to see what Islam really is and who would rather spend their time talking about how horrible they think Christianity is. While the Left fights for the construction of a mosque at Ground Zero, they complain about a Christian offering a prayer at a high school graduation ceremony. The Left claims that defense of traditional marriage is “bigotry” but when Islamists kill us, the Left makes apologies for it, such as blaming a video for an Al Qaeda attack in Benghazi that killed four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.
Fortunately, some are not so willing to ignore history. Watch the trailer below of the Polish movie Bitwa Pod Wiedniem (Battle of Vienna).
