We Are So Toasted

America is toast. While the Right (HotAir) claims “substantial victory” in the Obamacare ruling, Nancy Pelosi proclaims “total victory” and Hillary Clinton says the ruling is what she had hoped for. How can this be? It’s certainly not bi-partisanship.

Here is the extra toasty part of our toasted toast. Mitt Romney, who has continually claimed that he was a victim of the courts in Massachusetts on “gay marriage” now is faced with a Supreme Court that has upheld Obamacare. He promises repeal, but in order to promise repeal, he has to show his willingness to defy the Court. That willingness to defy the Court would, in and of itself, make his claims on his failure to defend the family in Massachusetts automatically hypocritical. In short, if he defies the Court on Obamacare, all of his claims about why he did not defend the family in Massachusetts are down the tubes. We social conservatives always knew he could have acted to defend the family but simply refused to. Now, he has the same scenario with Obamacare.

How does he manage to deliver a statement on Obamacare given that reality? Well, he decided to come down on the side of total agreement with the Court on the Constitutionality of Obamacare, but claim that he can get rid of it because it’s “bad policy.”

Romney said:

Let’s make clear that we understand what the Court did and did not do. What the Court did today was say that Obamacare does not violate the Constitution. What they did not do was say that Obamacare is good law or that it’s good policy. Obamacare was bad policy yesterday. It’s bad policy today.

Did you catch that Tea Party? Mitt Romney agrees with the Supreme Court that Obamacare is “Constitutional.” He just thinks it’s “bad policy.”

Here is a list of things that Mitt Romney pointed to in his statement that, in his view, are “Constitutional” and “bad policy.”

Obamacare raises taxes on the American people by approximately $500 billion.

That is Constitutional, according to Mitt Romney, but bad policy.

Obamacare cuts Medicare, cuts Medicare, by approximately $500 billion.

That is Constitutional, according to Mitt Romney, but bad policy.

And even with those cuts, and tax increases, Obamacare adds trillions to our deficits and to our national debt and pushes those obligations on to coming generations.

That is Constitutional, according to Mitt Romney, but bad policy.

Obamacare also means that for up to 20 million Americans, they will lose the insurance they currently have, the insurance that they like and they want to keep.

That is Constitutional, according to Mitt Romney, but bad policy.

Obamacare is a job killer.

That is Constitutional, according to Mitt Romney, but bad policy.

Obamacare puts the federal government between you and your doctor.

That is Constitutional, according to Mitt Romney, but bad policy.

He did not mention the tax-funded abortions, which are also in his state clone (Romneycare in Massachusetts) and he did not mention the contraception mandate, which, again, was in Romneycare. In short, he very simply stood up on stage today and stabbed the Tea Party and social conservatives in the back while demanding that we not vote for Obama.

Ain’t he special?

Okay, so, I’m not voting for Obama, but I’m also not voting for the lead show pony for Wall Street’s dog and pony show who has no moral core and who either does not care about or does not understand the Constitution, okay?

Turn back to God, America. Your government is now fully corrupt through the two parties that run it. If you are religious…BE THE REMNANT.

Revelation 12:17

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

If you are not religious, then at least be someone your great grandchildren would be proud to read about in the history books.

You make zero sense when you tweet about “war” while being too cowardly to cast a write-in vote.
