Joe Biden has come out today in support of same-sex “marriage.” This is clearly a trial balloon for the president. If America doesn’t rise up and pop it, then we can expect Obama to campaign for same-sex “marriage.” Surrogates are often used this way by political campaigns to test public reaction to an idea.

Vice President Joe Biden has endorsed same-sex marriage, becoming the highest ranking American official to back marriage for gay and lesbian people. His comments signify a split within the Obama administration and may pave the way for President Obama — who says he supports civil unions and is still evolving on the matter — to also embrace equality.

“Equality” as in “anything goes” no matter what, as long as it gets you elected? Yup. That’s “progress” for ya. Hey bishops, how about an excommunication for Joe?
