It is too laugh.
Well this is a fine how-do-you-do with my morning coffee. Bill Schneider writes at Politico:
Santorum would have to win roughly 70 percent of the remaining delegates to win the nomination. That’s not just unlikely. It’s delusional.
Who is Bill Schneider? He’s identified by Politico as “a resident scholar at Third Way.”
Third Way is a “moderate” think tank that claims that both the left and the right in America offer a “false choice” for voters. To believe that, you have to believe that conservatism is a “false choice.” Schneider, then, has a preexisting notion that a passionate conservative like Rick Santorum is “delusional” on some level for simply being a conservative.
Ain’t he cute?
As for the delegate count, it has been independently verified that Mitt Romney’s delegate count is too high. Rick Santorum has a good shot at winning the nomination, and we look forward to a ‘reengineered‘ campaign for the second half.
