Maybe Sebelius Did This Just Because She Can, And For No Other Reason

Jill Stanek is shocked, just as the pro-aborts are, that Kathleen Sebelius has overruled the FDA in their decision to release the morning-after pill for use among teenagers.

The question raging tonight is why did Sebelius make this decision? No one believes she did it for the reason she says she did it, although our side will sure take it.

Jill, I think she did it just because she can. The Ms. magazine quote you offer gives a clue.

Possibly she’s tired of the relentless pressure she faces every day from religious groups and their friends in Congress.

Perhaps it was the pressure from the other side. Maybe she just decided to show her power…like a tornado across Kansas. Regarding “religious groups” there is no pressure more strong than that of the Catholic Church right now at this moment in time. No president can win without the Catholic vote, as 27% of voters are Catholic. The USCCB took a back seat during the last election (much to the dismay of conservative Catholics), but as of late, we’ve been seeing some pretty bold headlines….like “Democrats Alarmed“, etc. If they think this is going to win them points with Catholics, they’re delusional.

Maybe they’re just that delusional. Or maybe she just wanted to show her power. Either way, like Jill, I’ll take it.
