I reported on it (now archived) when a Rand Paul supporter curb stomped a Move On activist. I am of the opinion that it’s even more important to point out violence in the GOP than on the Left because we’re supposed to know better. That may not make many readers happy but it’s in accordance with my Faith to expect more from those who should know better. We’re supposed to be the party of family values.
Chris Moody at Yahoo News reports about an incident where a supporter of Ron Paul was quite innocently standing outside a polling place with a Paul sign and he was assaulted for this act by a Gingrich…um…is thug the word I’m looking for here?
Noticing the awkward optics, Gingrich aides and security personnel swarmed Dillard, trying to intimidate him into moving. One of Gingrich’s security agents stepped in front of him. When Dillard didn’t budge, the agent lifted his heeled shoe over Dillard’s bare foot and dug the back of it into his skin, twisting it side-to-side like he was stomping out a cigarette. Shocked, Dillard kept his ground and took a picture of the agent with his phone, which was quickly knocked out of his hand. Dillard slipped off his flip-flop to pick up the phone with his foot, and a Gingrich supporter kicked the sandal away.
I’m so glad I know God is in charge.

See that you never do to another what you would hate to have done to you by another.
If you are more appalled by my reporting this than you are by the Ron Paul supporter getting assaulted, well….rethink. Of course, if we’re not the family values party anymore, than all the more reason to vote for Rick Santorum and restore it.
