Remember when Rick Santorum said that we shouldn’t have to worry about what our president is going to say next? Remember when he said that Newt has “grandiose” ideas, “an idea a minute” about things that never really get done? Well, it didn’t take long for Newt to prove Rick right.
Newt Gingrich promised Wednesday on Florida’s space coast to create a moon colony by 2020 if elected president.
“By the end of my second term, we will have the first permanent base on the moon. And it will be American,” Gingrich told the crowd of roughly 700, taking them to their feet in applause.
The former House speaker said the current space program in the country is a “tragedy” and believes his “grandiose” ideas can help fix it.
“I am sick of being told we have to be timid and I’m sick of being told we have to be limited to technologies that are 50 years old,” he said, noting that by 2020 he wants to be capable to go to Mars.
Remember South Carolina? When so many had the “anybody but Mitt” attitude and swept Newt into first place? How’s that working out for you? The problem I am seeing is that people are misunderstanding who Newt is. His supporters give him far more credit than he is due. On the other hand, many people believe things about Rick Santorum that just are not true because his message is being distorted and suppressed. He is either not mentioned, barely mentioned, or his image is distorted into something he is not. If you are troubled by Rick Santorum…please send me an email. Let’s talk about this because the only way you’re going to find out who the real Rick Santorum is will be to stop listening to big media, look at his record and listen to what he says.
Sorry, space buffs, but Rick Santorum will not be building a moon colony during his administration. Perhaps that is something that can be done fifty years from now, hopefully by private entities, but right now we have to focus on restoring America whereever America has been torn to pieces by the Left. We have enough on our plates.
